A childhood "jack of all crafts", Michaela grew up sewing clothes and accessories, crocheting and drawing. In 2005 a few friends noticed her creating bags for herself. They loved what they saw and started requesting them from her. In 2007 after some success at craft shows and markets, Michaela decided it was time to start her business.

The patterns, inspirations and craftsmanship of Myla's Bags are all self-taught and fostered by a desire to continually evolve as an artist and designer. Myla's Bags grew from a true love of the materials and a passion for a lifestyle immersed in color and creativity.
